Kieron Patrick Finnegan
Kieron was the second child born to Sandra and Michael Finnegan on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, in 1961; his red hair, blue eyes and infectious laugh defined the very nature of his poetic soul. Kieron graduated from Richardson high school; he then received a BA from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and a master’s of English from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). After graduation, he taught English and spent two years in Cairo at the American University. He found absolute joy in introducing his students to the intoxicating world of literature, where William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams and Mark Twain came to life under Kieron’s eloquent direction. Kieron will be forever missed by his parents, five siblings, sister/brother in-laws and 9 nieces and nephews. We send you forth on a sea of love: Kieron Go Bragh.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Kieron Go Bragh foundation through the Dallas Foundation, 900 Jackson Street, Suite 150 The Dallas Foundation, 214-741-9898. A Memorial Mass was held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75034 with Father Kevin Finnegan presiding.
